India nightclub fire: Luthra brothers likely to be deported from Thailand
Arya News - The Luthra brothers had fled to Thailand hours after the fire tragedy at their Goa nightclub. Following the incident, the Interpol issued a Blue Notice against them. The Luthras were detained by Thai authorities after their passport was suspended by Indian authorities.

NEW DELHI – Gaurav and Saurabh Luthra, the fugitive owners of Birch by Romeo Lane nightclub, where a fire killed 25 people and injured six, are likely to be deported from Thailand on Sunday.
According to reports, the process of their deportation is almost complete, and they will be handed over to Indian authorities soon.
The Luthra brothers had fled to Thailand hours after the fire tragedy at their Goa nightclub.
According to the Goa police, the duo booked a flight to Phuket in Thailand just 1.5 hours after the fire broke out.
Following the incident, the Interpol issued a Blue Notice against them. The Luthras were detained by Thai authorities after their passport was suspended by Indian authorities.
FIR against the Luthra brothers-owned Romeo Lane shack staff
Meanwhile, an FIR has been filed against the staff of Romeo Lane beach shack in Vagator following a complaint filed by a family who visited the restaurant on November 1.
According to a woman from the family, the staff of the Romeo Lane assaulted them during their visit.
“I visited Romeo Lane in Vagator on 1st November with my cousins. We were 13 people in total… The club is built in such a way that it is very suffocating. It has only one entry and one exit, and that too at a height. So it is tough to enter and exit from that club. The staff spoke to us rudely and behaved inappropriately,” she said.
“When we were leaving the club around 3 am, a heavy chair was in our way. My cousin shifted it aside with his foot… The manager came to us and said, ‘You are damaging the furniture; we should have thrown you out earlier. You don’t have the status to be here.’ He grabbed my cousin’s collar and started speaking to us rudely. When we tried to apologise and leave, he called all the security personnel, the bouncers. They started chasing us and raised their hands at us. Since it was tough to leave that club, they chased us down and hit people in groups. They hit my sister on the chest, pushed her so badly that she fell down the stairs,” the woman alleged.
Following the incident, the family informed the police and filed an FIR, which also named Gaurav and Saurabh Luthra. However, she claimed that the police removed their names, saying they were not physically present at the time of the incident.
“If you don’t take women’s safety and tourist safety seriously, such incidents will keep happening in Goa,” she remarked.
