2026 World Cup draw, odds: Spain, England are favorites to win 2026 World Cup

2026 World Cup draw, odds: Spain, England are favorites to win 2026 World Cup
Arya News - The United States has 50-1 odds to win the 2026 World Cup.

The 2026 World Cup Draw took place on Friday at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C., with current and former great athletes Tom Brady, Shaquille O"Neal, Aaron Judge and Wayne Gretzky helping with the honors.
When it was all said and done, the United States ended up with a favorable draw in Group D, where they will face Paraguay, Australia and the winner of the European Play-off C between Türkiye, Romania, Slovakia and Kosovo.
The World Cup will be the most-bet event in the world next summer, so which teams are favored and where does the U.S. stand?
At BetMGM , Spain is the favorite at +400, followed by England (+600), France (+700), Brazil (+800) and 2022 World Cup winner Argentina (+800). It"s unknown whether Argentina superstar Lionel Messi will be playing for the Argentinian team next year when the tournament begins.
Spain had the most total wagers (13%) at BetMGM before the draw, followed by England (9.9%) and France (9.3%). Spain has the most total dollars wagered (17%).
Cristiano Ronaldo"s Portugal (11-1) have the next-best odds, followed by Germany (12-1) and the Netherlands (16-1). Every other team has at least 25-1 odds, including the United States at 50-1. The U.S. had 66-1 odds to win the 2026 World Cup before the draw at BetMGM, but those odds were shortened after the favorable group draw.
The U.S. opened as the +100 favorite to win Group D at BetMGM, with Paraguay at +225 and Australia at +800. The winner of the European Play-off C was +375.
One notable bet made before Friday"s draw was a $5,000 wager on the United States to win it all at 75-1 odds at Hard Rock Bet. The wager would pay $375,000 if the U.S. can win its first World Cup ever.
The United States will open 2026 World Cup play on June 12, 2026, against Paraguay at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.
