Arya News - Alan Shearer was the previous record holder with 100 goals in 124 matches
Erling Haaland is now the fastest player ever to score 100 Premier League goals after the Manchester City striker opened the scoring during Tuesday"s match against Fulham .
Haaland"s goal in the 17th minute saw him hit the century mark in just his 111th game with the club. That broke the longstanding record previously held by Alan Shearer, who reached 100 goals in his 124th Premier League match.
During his second season with Manchester City, Haaland broke Andy Cole"s Premier League record with his 50th league goal in his 48th game.
Haaland has been a goal-scoring machine his entire professional career and that didn"t change once he arrived at Manchester City in 2022. He won the Premier League"s Golden Boot award in each of his first two seasons with 36 and 27 goals, respectively.
He is now the 35th player to score 100 Premier League goals and the first player to do so since former Tottenham forward Son Heung-min in 2023.
This season, along with his now 15 goals in 14 games with Manchester City, the Norwegian international has scored nine times in 17 matches while helping his country qualify for the 2026 World Cup for the first time since 1988.
While Haaland broke this Shearer record, the former Blackburn and Newcastle striker is still the Premier League"s all-time leading scorer with 260 career goals.
