Iran’s Ministry of Defense spokesperson stated that Israel “pleaded” for an end to the recent 12-day conflict, following what he described as “crippling blows” dealt by Iranian armed forces to Israeli infrastructure.Brigadier General Reza Talaei-Nik, spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics, elaborated on the dimensions of the confrontation in a recent interview. He asserted that Israel’s efforts to destabilize Iran and undermine its national sovereignty had failed, and that the regime ultimately turned to the United States for support.
“The Zionist enemy imposed this war on our country with the aim of dividing Iran, damaging the sacred system of the Islamic Republic, and weakening our national power,” Talaei-Nik said. “But it ended up more desperate than ever, begging for the war to stop and once again seeking refuge in the American government.”
The remarks reflect Tehran’s official narrative of the conflict, which it characterizes as a defensive victory against foreign aggression.
